Another successful colts season
Reed Colts have just finished one of their most successful seasons as all three of their teams have topped their Cambridgeshire CYCA leagues.
The U11's pairs team lost only once, and that by one run, to end on the same number of points as two of Cambridge's top clubs. Meanwhile the U13's remained unbeaten to win their league. Captain, Josh Poulton, scored two unbeaten centuries on the way to this title. Finally the U15 side lost just the once as they captured their crown. Once again it was captain, William Heslam, who led from the front with a century. In addition, both of the older teams finished second behind strong Letchworth sides in their North Herts leagues.
"There is no doubt that the reason this club is thriving is a direct result of an excellent colts' section over many years. This year's success is down to some talented youngsters supported by committed managers: John Kershaw, Lindsey Poulton, Neil Curtis and John Heslam as well as some great coaching from Ed Blissett, Rob Bloor, Mark King and Peter Baker, assisted by several of the club's younger players", reported Colts. Liaison Officer, Peter Wholley.
If you are aged 7-13 and would like to join the colts next season, give him a ring on Royston 246656.
